SPECIAL THANKS go out to all of those who volunteered during the Thanksgiving week-end -- those that "minded the store" during that time,
and those who brought the food that provided a bountiful Thanksgiving to all coming into the Welcome Mat.
THANKS to Community Action's Health Care for the Homeless CrossRoads Clinic for providing a flu shot clinic at the Welcome Mat on November 16.
It was a successful clinic providing protection against the flu to many who camp out.
STILL NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS -- special holiday foods, and new items (flannel shirts, knit hats, white socks, gloves, sweaters, etc.) to be used as gifts for our clients.
There are still several openings for volunteers to keep the Welcome Mat open during the Christmas week-end.

Volunteers are also needed in the Welcome Mat on January 1, 2007. The main duty that day will making sure that everyone has some special food, and that the football games are on!!
Special foods are also needed.
