Volunteers Needed for Holidays and Saturdays

Volunteers are needed to help out during the holidays at the WCH Welcome Mat,  907 Logan Avenue.

During the Thanksgiving holiday volunteers are needed to work from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day and the Friday after Thanksgiving.

During the Christmas holiday people are needed to work in 2 or 3 hour shifts on Christmas Day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

A short, informal training session is required before starting to volunteer.

Volunteers Needed at the WCH Richards Center

The Wyoming Coalition for the Homeless (WCH) is looking for volunteers to help with classes and training at the WCH Richards Center at 4700 Ocean Loop. People are need to help with the art and music program, frame shop, computer classes/computer repairs and updating, job skills, job training, resume and job interview skills, bike repair, sewing, making sleeping bags and other activities. The classes and training sessions will be held between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Those interested in registering for classes will need to do so at the main WCH building at 907 Logan Avenue on Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Those interested in helping with these programs should contact Virginia at 634-8499 or come by the WCH main building at 907 Logan Avenue.
